Dear New York, Thank you for being my home for these last few months. When we arrived that first week in February, you helped us to adjust by snowing us in so we could stay protected in our little apartment, but then also explore a winter wonderland from some sort of fairytale. It was so pretty to see your streets and Central Park covered in a blanket of white powder, it was the perfect backdrop to hang out with new friends and squirrels. Then Spring time came and the cherry blossom were all around us in Thompson Square Park and the streets near the apartment we had found in the East Village. Thank you New York for sharing with me your talented people to help manufacture my samples and design my textile prints and invitations. Thank you for showing me the best range of fabrics and trims I have ever seen. Thank you New York for the great galleries you house and the interesting places I stumble upon each day. Thank you New York for all the new friends you have given me and new adventures outside of the city. And thanks for making bagels so well and putting cream cheese on them. Although I miss my family and friends back in Australia and all the wonderful things Australia has to offer, thank you New York for giving me this adventure and being so hospitable I really appreciate it.
