Contemporary Indigenous Fashion at Bendigo Art Gallery

Piinpi: Contemporary Indigenous Fashion Exhibition brings together a selection of garments and textiles by First Nations designers and artists from around Australia. Piinpi, an Indigenous word commonly used across regions of East Coast Cape York Peninsula and refers to Indigenous ‘seasonal changes’ and the regeneration of Country. 

The Piinpi exhibition is the first major survey of contemporary Indigenous Australian fashion to be shown in Australia, highlighting a growing industry which is set to become a major fashion movement.
