Bill Murray's New Feature Film, On The Rocks

Bill Murray and Rashida Jones in On The Rocks

Two of our pop culture heroes, film-maker Sofia Coppola and actor Bill Murray re-unite for the first time on the big screen since Lost In Translation to make another film that we can't wait to see called On The Rocks

Recently spotted on the SWOP Instagram was the question "what's your favourite Bill Murray movie?" followed with everything from Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, Life Aquatic and obviously Lost in Translation. An interesting personality on and off the screen, we loved him even more after seeing the documentary  The Bill Murray Stories which revealed some endearing real life stories where he just randomly appears in people's lives by dropping in to house parties and doing their dishes or standing in their wedding photos!

Known also for her cool, understated glamour,  Sofia Coppola has long been an indie favourite since making The Virgin Suicides in 1999, Lost in Translation in 2003, Marie Antoinette in 2006 and Somewhere in 2010. On The Rocks is a comedy drama set in New York starring Rashida Jones as a young, married woman and mother who has become suspicious of her husband having an affair. Bill Murray plays her eccentric, playboy father who attempts to give her advice on the situation.

On The Rocks debuts on AppleTV this Friday the 23rd. Watch the trailer here.
